In comparison to other web mapping systems which are image based, iDelve delivers actual spatial features to the user. This enables an unprecedented level of interactivity, enabling users to dynamically select, interrogate and manipulate features directly. In addition, the use of streaming enables uninterrupted user navigation without losing locational context.

Progressive Definition

Details of spatial features are optimised to the current map scale, minimising network traffic without sacrificing definition. iDelve progressively streams additional detail to features as users zoom in. Navigation is unhindered, as users can continue to interact with the map.

Continuous interactivity

Through the use of technologies such as Progressive Definition, vector mapping and intelligent caching, iDelve delivers an uninterrupted mapping experience. Users navigate maps faster and continue interacting as data is streamed and displayed in the map.

Distributed sources

iDelve is able to source data from a wide range of storage formats in different coordinate reference systems. Disparate sources, from local and remote locations are efficiently aggregated and streamed to the user. Real-time data

Live data is efficiently incorporated into maps and data changes are displayed dynamically without map reloads. This feature is especially relevant for applications dealing with dynamic data such as asset tracking and remote telemetry.

OGC Acceleration

In addition to being able to source data from compatible OGC services, iDelve uses groundbreaking acceleration technology to display maps using OGC sources significantly faster than standard OGC map clients.
