Transperth

DOW has integrated iDelve with their existing infrastructure to deliver spatial information for water resource management and public use.

iDelve enables Smarttrack to provide real-time mobile asset management solutions to thousands of customers.

Transperth is the brand name used for the public transport system in Western Australia. The system includes buses, trains and ferries which provides over 9000 timetabled services.

iDelve has been successfully integrated with Transperth’s .NET web applications, Transperth Route Information System and Opcom journey planning engine.

Transport Route Information System

iDelve is used as a ‘back office’ tool for effective and efficient communication between public transport authorities and their contract transport service providers. Temporary and permanent changes to transport routes are communicated via ‘red-line’ mark-ups on a digital map and emailing a bookmark to this map, ensuring accurate communication of changes. This improves services, avoids disruption, and minimises customer dissatisfaction and cost of errors.

Transport Journey Planner

Transperth uses iDelve to assist commuters in planning their journeys.

Users query the system by specifying start and destination locations (by address, suburb or landmark) and travel times.

The system provides their travel options, including details of bus, train, ferry services, all required stops, connections and walking distances.

The smooth pan and zoom of iDelve allows users to rapidly evaluate their travel options, quickly examine and highlight detail of these displayed routes, with a proper streetmap as context.

Nearest Stops
